The Puppet Masters, by Robert A. Heinlein

Rating: ★★★☆☆
The Puppet Masters, by Robert A. Heinlein, is a science-fiction classic that presents a deeply unsettling alien invasion. The story revolves around jellyfish-like creatures that attach themselves to human bodies and take complete control of people’s will, turning society into a place of constant suspicion. Heinlein builds a very strong beginning, with a fast pace, political tension, and a sense of invisible threat that quickly hooks the reader. However, from the second half onward, the narrative loses some momentum and part of the initial intensity fades into less impactful developments. Despite this unevenness, it remains an entertaining read and an influential work within science fiction.
